Hi, I’m Tais Rau – and I’m so glad you’re here!
My passion for photography began at a young age, when I would “borrow” my dad’s film camera and spend hours playing with composition and light. By the time I was fourteen, I knew I wanted more than just play—I wanted to truly understand the art and technique behind the camera. That led me to get my first DSLR and take a studio lighting class, sparking a journey that has shaped my life ever since.
In 2014, I attended photography school and officially began my career, specializing in newborn, family, and elopement photography. I’ve always been drawn to capturing real, heartfelt moments that tell a story—and I feel so honored to preserve those memories for my clients.
In 2020, I moved to the beautiful city of Denver, Colorado, where I had the amazing opportunity to build a brand and connect with a wonderful community of clients who brought so much joy to my work.
Now, in 2025, my family and I have relocated to the stunning Charleston area, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue my journey here. I’m already so grateful to the families and individuals who have welcomed me with open arms, and I can’t wait to create more unforgettable memories together.
